1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Internet Village platform — a community-powered digital economy platform encompassing learning, talent, marketplace, payments (MansaPay), AI tools (AI Village), and community services ("Platform", "App") operated by The Internet Village Limited, a company registered in The Gambia ("Company", "we", "our", or "us").

2. Eligibility

To use the App, you must:

• ✓ Be at least 18 years old (or legal age in your jurisdiction)
• ✓ Provide accurate registration information
• ✓ Not be prohibited from using digital services under applicable laws

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate eligibility rules.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account:

• • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• • You agree not to share your account.
• • You are responsible for all activities under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or fraudulent behavior.

4. Services Provided

The Internet Village Platform may include:

• • User dashboards and Internet Village Employment IDs (IVE-ID)
• • MansaPay wallet, escrow, and bonus systems
• • Academy — learning, certifications, and coding tracks
• • Talent marketplace — profiles, portfolios, and job applications
• • Business marketplace — merchant profiles, products, and services
• • AI Village — AI-generated content, CVs, proposals, and digital tools
• • Community feed, stories, and live streaming features
• • Digital villages and community projects
• • Notifications and creator monetization tools
• • KYC verification and trust badges
• • Payment processing via third-party providers (ModemPay, Wave, Afrimoney)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

5. MansaPay Wallet, Escrow & Bonuses

• • MansaPay wallet balances reflect digital values within the Platform.
• • Bonuses (e.g., D365 activation bonus) are granted under specific eligibility rules.
• • Bonuses cannot be duplicated or transferred unless explicitly allowed.
• • Escrow funds for marketplace and freelance transactions are held until work is approved by the client.
• • Withdrawals require KYC verification and a valid membership/verification number.
• • Internet Village is not a licensed financial institution; wallet balances represent a record of platform transactions, not a regulated deposit account.
• • We reserve the right to correct system errors affecting balances.

6. Payments, Marketplace & Transactions

Payments are processed via third-party payment providers (e.g., ModemPay, Wave, Afrimoney, bank transfer).

By making a payment or marketplace transaction, you agree that:

• • All payments are final unless otherwise stated or covered by escrow protection.
• • You are authorized to use the payment method.
• • Marketplace commissions may apply to successful transactions.
• • Refund and dispute policies are outlined separately for marketplace and escrow transactions.
• • KYC verification may be required for payments, payouts, and withdrawals.

The Company is not responsible for third-party payment processor errors. Financial/payment features are implemented with appropriate Gambian regulatory, KYC/AML, and payment-provider requirements.

7. Live Streaming & Content

Users who use live streaming features agree:

• • Not to broadcast illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content.
• • Not to infringe intellectual property rights.
• • Not to harass or exploit other users.

We reserve the right to:

• • Remove live content
• • Suspend creators
• • Terminate accounts without notice for violations

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• ✗ Engage in fraud or financial abuse
• ✗ Manipulate bonus systems
• ✗ Attempt to hack or disrupt the platform
• ✗ Upload harmful or illegal content
• ✗ Impersonate another user

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and platform technology are owned by The Internet Village Limited.

Users may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any content without written permission.

10. Data Protection

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• • Required by law
• • You engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior

You may request account deletion at any time.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• • The Company is not liable for indirect or incidental damages.
• • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
• • Use of the App is at your own risk.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Internet Village Limited from any claims arising from:

• • Your misuse of the App
• • Violation of these Terms
• • Infringement of third-party rights

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via in-app notification or email where reasonably practicable.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of The Gambia, unless otherwise required by applicable international regulations.
